I got into
an accident! What
do I do?
DO NOT IMMMEDIATELY WALK/RIDE/DRIVE AWAY!
Step 1: Check to make sure everyone is okay.
Above all else, ensure that both parties are safe. In the case of injury, seek immediate medical attention and call 911.
Step 2: Move all persons and vehicles out of the way from traffic.
After ensuring everyone is okay, move away from the flow of traffic.
Step 3: No matter the severity, call the police to report the accident.
Even if the accident seems minor, call 911 and report it. Injuries may take time to notice, and documentation will be beneficial in the case of injury or disputes.
